Good News! Brian ...

Pee'd! I know that's probably not the most tasteful thing to talk about but, trust me, Brian is tickled and so are we. Brian had physical therapy this morning as well. They got him up to the parallel bars where he works on walking and he took off! The therapist said, "Obviously this is too easy for you. Let's see if we can find something a bit harder!" Brian took about 20 steps in less than 2 minutes. So they gave him a walker and he took 18 more steps!

I think he feels a bit inspired today since his family arrived last night. His mom and dad, brother and sister-in-law came in and they brought Evin, Dusti and Kevin's 7 month old son. Brian has always had a very special place in his heart for Evin. Jana reported this morning that she's not seen Brian smile so much as he has today. Brian loves Evin. And Evin is such a good natured kid. He's good medicine.

Today at lunch, Kory and Kathleen and I sat down to a nice meal. We figured this is the first time we've had a meal together at home in 47 days. We've been doing the tag team parenting thing for almost 7 weeks. But we wouldn't have it any other way. Kory and Kathleen actually got to go to church with me this morning too. Since Kory got his driver's permit we are getting chauffeured all over the place. It was good to be back in church and see all the folks that have been praying so hard for us. We love our church families.
