Brian's Update for Monday, April 16th, Day 62

Good morning!
I just got off the phone with Jana. I will join her and Brian for a visit to Dr. Gupta at 1PM today. He is a leading specialist in upper body orthopedic care. We are going to talk about his right arm in particular.
Over the weekend the decision was made to no longer give Lovenox to Brian, which is a blood thinner. We need to watch for swelling in his arms and legs but this is another step in the right direction. Speaking of steps, Sunday, Chris had Brian walk all the way down the hall, turn around and walk to the gym where he had him going up and down the stairs 4 times. Then it was to the "stair master" type bicycle where he put in another 12 minutes of work.
This past Saturday, my buddy Deke and I worked on the golf cart we hope to have running for Brian. We've got to find an overhaul kit for a Mikuni fuel pump. Hopefully this will get us up and running. We replaced the battery, spark plug, spark plug wire, fuel line and fuel line filter. We are trying to think of a name to give this golf cart so if you have some ideas, share em'!

I'll report more after our appointment this morning.
