No More C-Collar! Yeah! April 12th

Folks,
Great news! Brian doesn't have to wear his cervical collar any more! Today Brian had an appointment at the Jewish Health Clinic today to evaluate his recent CT scans and a couple x-rays. We were there for 4 and a half hours waiting with about 70 other people. At first the doctor wasn't sure. He said that the CT scan wasn't conclusive. So they had Brian take 2 more x-rays. It seemed to take forever! But once we got the doctor back in the room with the new pictures it only took him a second to make the call. Needless to say, Brian is very excited! He is celebrating by ordering from Mark's Feed Store the world's largest barbecue pork sandwich! With fries!
We are going to have a grand celebration figuring out all the ways we are going to slowly destroy this C-collar. Burn it, cut it up, drag it behind his wheelchair ... . We figure it tortured him for almost 2 months. It's payback time!
He had a good day with PT. Now they are putting 4lb weights on his right leg. Chris is working him like a dog! But it's paying off. Now that he has the collar off Brian is actually looking forward to therapy. There were a number of exercises Chris likes for him to do but the collar choked him so badly he could hardly do them. He looks so good without his collar! Jana was kissing all over his neck.
It's been a very good day, and we are so grateful.
